Getting His Toesies Wet
While we were out at Barbara's place on Father's Day we decided to take Keegan down to the pool for a little swim. This was the first time that he has been in a pool and we didn't have his swim suit nor did Matt and I have a suit so we just dipped our toes in the water. Keegan didn't really like it much. He would stand on the stairs for a little bit as long as he could hold onto the pole and he played Boo with a little girl in the pool but it wasn't long before he was tired of being in there and he started to cry. So we got out and headed back home. We didn't bring a change of clothes so he had to wear one of Grandma's Harley Davidson shirts back home. We will have to try again when we remember to bring our suits and can actually carry him into the water. Wonderful Father's Day

Finished Project
Ok here is my final project for this weekend. Whew!!! The challenge was entertaining Keegan while getting these done. The picture is not as good as seeing it. I have to wait until July to turn this one in and then I have to wait until August to find out if it wins. Seems so far away but will be here before I know it. This card is fun. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out. I must be in a flower mood. This one is fun too because instead of folding it like a normal card I cut two 5x7 pieces and then connected them at the top with ribbon. I still have to put something on the inside. I did manage to use all the product and the stamp is the "Happy" on the top flower. I wanted to keep this one simple looking. However making it wasn't hard but time consuming with a lot of circle punching, cutting and gluing. What do you think? I hope I win.
June's card challenge

Here are the items that I have to use for June's card challenge. The theme is "Red, White and Blue" I will post the finished project when I am done.

Finished scrapbook club project
Here is the finished card for the scrapbook challenge. Sorry the picture isn't that good. You can obviously see how I used the tree. I opted to use the opposite side of the owl paper and it became the small circles on the right side. I really couldn't figure out how to use the Q as a Q so I cut it up to make the leaves. Again the product they give us does not have to stay in its original form. That was all the product that I had to use. I drew the owl and then I scuffed up the edges of the brown. The card opens up on both sides so you can write in it. And then the large tag sits in a pocket on the inside. I had been thinking about this project for a couple of days and I am happy with how it turned out. What do you think?
