Ok so we are not good bloggers. I constantly check other people's blogs to see something new and then I never update ours. I guess it is because I never really have anything profound to say. Nothing overly excited really takes place in our world and I'm sure everyone would get bored hearing about our everyday stuff.
Well this is what we have been up to. Matt has decided to start a photography business and a week ago yesterday he had his first client. It was a brother and sister in the early teen years and the day they decided to shoot the weather decided to rain and hail. But despite the yucky weather and the kids not wanting to cooperate he was able to take some really good shots of the kids that they are going to give to their mom for mothers day. Matt was really excited and a little nervous because someone was actually willing to pay for his photos. Everything went well and the guy was happy with his pictures. So we are looking forward to more clients and building the business.
Yesterday Matt spent the whole day trying to clean up our front yard. The people that lived there before us planted a bunch of bushes that were ugly and over grown so Matt pulled them all out and we are going to put grass there. Much easier maintenance. In the process of this Matt actually got to talk to some of the neighbors. We have lived there for 2 years and really haven't talked much to our neighbors. So that was nice and they helped out.
I haven't been up to much. Slowly trying to get back into scrapbooking and card making. I have a craft room but never go in there. We are thinking about moving my craft cabinet downstairs so that I will be more motivated to work on stuff. The cabinet is nice but it doesn't match anything downstairs, but we decided who cares, its our house and it can be downstairs.
We are going to be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary on the 11th. Time has gone by so fast. We tried to think of something fun and exciting to do but everything is expensive so we pretty much just decided to stay home and work on our yard. What we do doesn't really matter its being able to be together that we are looking forward to. And I must say that I love him more with every year that passes.
Keegan is growing so so fast and 3 days ago he got his first hair cut. All his baby curls are gone now. He looks like a big boy instead of a baby. I was a little sad to see them go but I didn't cry. I did however save just about every strand that was cut off. Keegan is learning so much all the time. He has a sponge for a brain. He is learning all kinds of sign language. He is trying to speak more words. He can say "eeww grosse", and when he wants to he can say "diaper", and of course he is always saying "dada", and when he feels like it "mama", he can also say "What", and "Yeah" and he will even say "two" when we are counting. I am pretty sure that he was trying to say "I love you" the other day. He runs every place he goes and he loves to climb. He absolutely loves to be outside and he is so independent. He tries to go up and down the stairs walking straight up like we do. No sliding down on his belly and he uses one foot for each step. He is such a joy to have in our lives and we are so blessed with him. He really is special and we love him so much.
We found out that my grandma garner has cancer and it doesn't sound good. So we are going to make a trip to Idaho over memorial day weekend to spend some time with her. We are really sad to hear the news. She is such a special person in my life and the thought of saying goodbye just breaks my heart. I am trying to be humble about it knowing that this is God's plan but it is hard. We are looking forward to seeing the family in Idaho and I think we will be driving the new van for all to see.
Well that pretty much does it for us.
Take care everyone, Matt, Heather and Keegan
