Well in case you didn't know we took a road trip to Idaho for Memorial Day. After hearing the news that my grandma's cancer is terminal we wanted to make the trip to spend some time with her. Of course there is never enough time when it comes to something like that and I am still wishing for more. But we did have a nice visit. Keegan did really well for the long drive. We did stop halfway at Baker City going both ways and stayed in a really old, renovated hotel called "The Geiser Grand Hotel". Luckily Dr. Ross knows the owners and was able to make a phone call and get our room for us at no cost. Gotta love those connections, especially when the rate was $169.00 per night. Yikes!!!We left Thursday night after I got off work so we didn't get to the hotel until midnight. Then Friday moring we got up and were getting ready to get on the road and Keegan decided to lock himself in the bathroom and he couldn't open the door back up because it had round door knobs. We called the front desk to ask them to hurry with a key to unlock the door. A good 10 minutes went by and no key. Matt ran down to the front desk to see what was taking so long and they were looking for a key. He came back up and we did our best to keep Keegan close to the door and away from the toilet which we could hear him splashing in every once in a while. Finally the maintenance guy came up and said, "Bad news, we don't have any keys" WHAT!!! He was going to have to crawl through the attic and come down in an opening in the bathroom. Oh boy!!! So after another five to ten minutes, Matt was finally able to pop the door open by shoving one of our keys in the lock. All is well and Keegan was safe. Little Turkey.
We decided to have a picnic at Shoshone Falls with my Mom, Joe and Grandma. That was fun. There was plenty of water going over the falls to make it worth looking at. Then we found a cozy picnic area and we laughed an visited. Matt took some really great pictures of Mom and Joe and then of Grandma. We got a really cute one of Keegan and Grandma Garner holding hands going down the hill together. It was just such a fun day. Sunday we made a trip over to Grandpa Garners grave to decorate it with flowers. Keegan wanted to take his own flower and he put a note on there that said " I love you Grandpa and I miss you too. Oh and can you find me a brother or sister and send them down here, I need someone to play with. Love Keegan Maroy"
Don't know if Grandpa was listening but we will see. Mom and Grandma did pretty well. We sure miss grandpa. During our trip we met Dennis for lunch and had a BBQ with my Dad, Jane and Bryce. So all in all it was a really great weekend. We wish we had more time. We miss our family already.
We had a long drive back and I had to come straight to work. That wasn't any fun. This place is a disaster when I am away. I really just wanted to go home and sleep.
Matt and Keegan got to go home and relax. However, Keegan ended up scratching Matt in the eyeball and it has swollen up and turned red and burns. So he was off to the eye doctor today to make sure it was going to be ok. Never a dull moment.I will have to post pictures from our trip as soon as we get them downloaded. We have gotten some studio flashes and Matt had a lot of fun during a photo shoot with Mom, Joe, Grandma and of course Keegan.
We hope to make another trip soon. Love you all.

Those are good pictures. Looks like you guys had fun. :)
What nice pictures Heather. Your little Keegan is so funny...he sounds just like my boys!! Glad you had a good trip.
These are such beautiful photos. Looks like you had lots of fun.
I had to giggle at Keegan being locked inside the bathroom. It's just the beginning of the scary events that end up being humerous.
Hope Matt's eye heals okay.
I forgot to comment about Keegan's bathroom incident. The SAME thing happened to Brock when we were in a hotel...about the same age too...but it didn't require climbing through the attic ;) haha!
