One little heart beat

Well for those of you who don't already know, Matt and I are expecting another little Dallmann in March. I have been battling with morning sickness (more like all day sickness) which is new to me because I did not experience it at all with Keegan. And I am pretty tired of it. I am looking forward to the day when I can just brush my teeth in peace. I hear from a lot of people that "they" say when you have a lot of morning sickness and the pregnancy is different from the first that you are having a girl. We still have awhile until we find that part out. I am about 11-12 weeks. The doctors are undecisive.

So I didn't go back to the Dr. that I had with Keegan. I thought I would try someone new but I really didn't have any referrals so I just had to pick someone out of the hat. Well that turned out to be a really bad idea. This lady was awful. The first things she tells me is "don't gain any weight" Ok I will try but when you are growing a human being it is pretty hard not to do that. Then she tells me that she is not suggesting that I go on a diet but losing weight would not be a bad thing. Ok lady, can I just get a congratulations. The next thing she tells me is that she is going to test me for STD's, gonorehha and chlomidia. I assured her there would not be an issue with that, but she insisted. OK I really don't like you now. So to top the visit off she then says to me, we can do an optional test that would check the baby for cystic fibrosis. In the event it was positive you could choose to abort. OK I am outta here, give me my clothes, give me my $20 back and kiss my bum goodbye lady.
Not a good Dr.

Good news is!!!! I went to a different Dr. yesterday and I had a completely different experience. Everyone was so nice. They said congratulations this is so exciting. Already 100 times better than the first lady. This office has their own ultrasound machine so they were happy to take a look.

And there it was.... One little baby moving around and one little heart beat. I say one little baby because many people have mentioned twins to us since it runs in both my family and Matt's.

So we are pretty excited. I am anxious to get rid of the sickness and get back to feeling normal and being able to go to work without dragging and feeling like I have to throw up all day.
Hats off to all you mothers who have lots of babies. Seriously, I don't think I can do this again. I am not cut out for sickness.

So now comes the task of picking a name. We are completely stumped on girl names. So does anyone have suggestions in the event that our new favorite color will be pink???

Love you all... H

CONGRATULATIONS!! That is so awesome. I'm excited for you! I hope you get feeling better soon..when I read that you feel a lot sicker - I was thinking you were having a girl before you mentioned the possibility. My pregnancy is going good...not sick really at all - so I think it is another little boy! Now I need names for another boy too - using a "C". If I had a girl - it would be Kalissa. Oh, and we find out next week what we are having. Can't wait to hear your news!

p.s. I would say "kiss my bum" too to that lady. SHE WAS SO RUDE! I can't believe it!

Haha....all my pregnancies were the same, girl or boy...so I just presumed another boy....surprise! :) The only difference between my pregnancy with Abby compared to the boys was that i gained the least weight with her :)
Did you go to the doctor Sharon suggested? I remember seeing her when I went in that office for my other issue and she seemed really nice so I told Sharon to tell you about her :)
Crossing my fingers for a girl...too bad I already got rid of all my girl stuff :(

Hey Sweetie...Cross your fingers that morning sickness will be gone by 12 weeks. I hardly had any morning sickness with Chris, but with Stacie it was gone by the time I was 3 months along. With Chris I showed from the sides & out and with Stacie, pretty much out front. I also gained less weight with Stacie.
Good luck with this doctor, but if she doesn't work out, remember to check Annie out. Kristen & I really think she is nice and I went to see her once, when my doctor wasn't available.

CONGRATS Heather! What exciting news. Sorry about the stupid doctor and glad that you found someone you like! Morning sickness stinks! With all three of my boys I had it until about 3 1/2 months in. I hope that you find lots of tricks to help ease the sickness. My trick was really strong peppermint gum! Whenever I felt nauseated I would chew it. Good Luck Heather and congrats again!
