OUCH!!!

Well our week started out sooo great and it is ending on a sadder note. Last night when Matt was on his way home from work someone decided to make a right turn on a red light right in front of him. Matt tried to avoid the accident but couldn't and so this is the end result. He was driving my Jeep Cherokee and as you can see it got munched. Boo... . Matt is stiff and sore all over and his neck and back are hurting. Just such a bummer. The other driver is changing his story & now saying that his light was green when he turned but Matt knows that the other guys light was red because Matt's light was green and he was all the way across the intersection. So who knows what will come of it but I am eager to get my car fixed. The other bad part is the $500 deductible. Ugggh!

We are happy to announce that Keegan is the Grand Prize winner of Portland's Cutest Baby Contest for 2008. We are so excited and amazed that he actually won. We had a fun time going to the event that was held at the car dealership. They had raffle tickets and if your number was called then you picked a money envelope that could have anything from a $1 bill to a $100. I was lucky and won $5. They gave away some great Hawaiin BBQ food and lots of free Boogie Wipes. We came home with the grand prize which was $1050.00 savings CD for Keegan and we got to drive home a 2007 Chevy Uplander mini van with a no cost to us 1 year lease, how cool is that and a $50 gift certificate to AppleBee's. We want to thank everyone who took the time to vote for Keegan and who supported us in this fun adventure. The money will be a great start for Keegan's college and we are thrilled.

They started to interview us on the radio and I clammed up and sounded like an idiot. I think I only said like 2 words. Luckily they asked Matt the same question just before me and he gave a much better answer. I asked the radio guy not to put my portion on the radio and he laughed and said Yeah Right. So if you live in Portland you can tune in to 97.1 tomorrow and hear us on the radio. Another funny thing is that Matt's mom was there with us to hear the announcement and she said that someone standing next to her BOO'd when they called Keegan's name. For some reason I laugh everytime I tell that, but that is some bad sportsmanship.

We are enjoying the new car and took a long ride today. It has a DVD player in it that Keegan enjoys and watched movies until he fell asleep.

Well that is pretty much it, but again we just want to thank all of you for voting. Thanks for crowning Keegan Portland's Cutest Baby. We knew he was.

Thank You Easter Bunny

Happy Easter

The Easter Bunny made a stop at our house and look at the basket he left for Keegan. This should be alot of fun. Mess free coloring. It only colors on the paper. There are lots of goodies inside the basket but that darn bunny forgot the chocolate.

The Easter Festivities Have Begun

Today we had a ward Easter Picnic and Egg Hunt. This was Keegan's first time searching for eggs and it was so much fun. He was happy after the first egg. What a great time. Everyone brought a plate of sandwiches and a side dish. I decided to make easter shaped rice cripy cookies and drizzle chocolate over the top. They were really delicious. I also made ham and turkey sandwhiches. I bought lunch meat last night and realized that I had left it out on the table all night. So off to the store first thing this morning to get more. My sister called me on the way to the store and I told her what I had done. She said, oh it should be fine. I said well with my luck I would poison the whole ward and make everyone sick and no one would show up at church tomorrow. So we got new lunch meat. Here are a few pictures of Keegan getting the eggs. I bet the Easter Bunny will hide more for him tomorrow. We are really looking forward to it. Happy Easter Every Bunny.
